Finding Neverland, an original musical based on the eponymous 2004 film, is showing at Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall!
The musical features an impressive ensemble of artists who bring to life the incredible creation story of one of the world's most beloved characters (Peter Pan) by Scottish novelist and playwright, Sir James Matthew Barrie. The story captures how Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets a family of four young brothers and their widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys’ make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that ends up astounding London theatre-goers. The original musical was directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and its score and lyrics are written by Gary Barlow (six-time recipient of the Ivor Novello Award) and renowned songwriter and record producer Eliot Kennedy. The script was written by James Graham and the choreography was done by Mia Michaels. The musical made its world debut at the Curve Theatre in Leicester in 2012 and it was followed by a reworked version debuting in 2014 at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After that, the production transferred to Broadway in March 2015.
