Rodney Carrington, Texas’ sensational multi talented comedian is bringing his indelible comedy to Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall!

Rodney Scott Carrington was born in Longview (Texas) in 1968 and is a stand up comedian, actor, and country music artist. He began his career by working as a comedian in local venues and slowly built a dedicated fan base by appearing on radio programs such as The Bob and Tom Show. His comedic style combines stand up routines with original songs and he released his major label debut comedy album (Hangin’ With Rodney) in 1998. His breakthrough came in 2000 with his follow up album (Morning Wood) achieving Gold status. From 2003 to 2014, Rodney released 6 more comedy albums Greatest Hits, King of the Mountains, El Nino Loco, Make It Christmas, C’mon Laugh You Bastards, Laughter’s Good) and his Greatest Hits release (a double CD) hit #3 on the Billboard’s Top Comedy Albums chart and was certified Platinum. His TV and film credits include a role in the sitcom Rodney and in the 2008 film Beer for My Horses. He’s also hosted the ACA (American Country Awards) and the American Country New Year’s Eve Live show on FOX. He also won a CMT Music Video Award for Supporting Character of the Year for his appearance on fellow country singer Trace Adkins’ music video ‘I Got My Game On’.
