Shaping Sound, an electrifying mash up of dance styles and musical genres is coming to the Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall!
The show’s creative cast consists of Artistic Director Travis Wall, Co-founder Nick Lazzarini, Co-founder Teddy Forance, Co-founder Kyle Robinson, Executive Producer Gil Stroming, Producer Nikole Vallins, and General Manager Brad Bauner. Travis Michael Wall was born in Virginia Beach (Virginia) in 1987 and is a dancer and dance instructor, specializing in contemporary dance and jazz dance. He was introduced to dance at an early age by his mother (who owned and operated a dance studio) and he began dancing when he was just 3 years old. He made his performance debut at the age of 9 by appearing in a Dr. Pepper commercial and he won the Junior National Outstanding Dancer Scholarship Award when he was just 12 years old. His breakthrough came in 2006 when he took part in the second season of the dance competition reality show, So You Think You Can Dance. He took second place and he later returned to the show as a choreographer. His contemporary choreography routines for seasons 7 and 9 led to a 2011 and a 2013 Emmy Award nomination. He won the Outstanding Choreography Emmy Award in 2015 for routines he choreographed for season 11. He’s also choreographed the 82nd Academy Awards, Disneyland's 60th Anniversary Special on ABC, and much more.
